A journey that began with inspiration from a simple bracelet at Cocoa Beach
The Spark of Inspiration
More than twelve years ago, my journey began with a simple yet powerful moment of inspiration. Learning that a friend of my mother was selling modest bracelets made of synthetic pearls and small beads at Cocoa Beach sparked something within me.
Though these pieces were simple, they ignited a creative fire that would shape not only my craft but my entire life. This unexpected spark encouraged me to try my hand at jewelry-making, marking the beginning of a journey rooted in determination, creativity, and the desire to provide a better future for my daughter.
Learning and Growing
In the early days, my pieces were simple, but my dedication was unwavering. I spent countless hours researching, studying, and practicing through platforms like YouTube and Facebook, learning from other creators who generously shared their knowledge.
Through persistence and experimentation, I mastered the fundamentals of handmade and DIY jewelry-making. I learned to create designs with wire pendants, copper wire rings, and jewelry of many different shapes and sizes, discovering that each customer had unique preferences that challenged me to keep expanding my techniques and styles.
The Early Challenges
I launched my first business under the name "Leah's Creations," operating as an independent seller. Those early weeks were challenging - I stood outside at markets, often with little success, all while caring for my four-year-old daughter who faced serious health challenges at the time.
Despite the exhaustion and difficulties, I pushed forward with unwavering determination. Within just a month, the effort began to pay off: sales grew, I learned what customers truly valued, and I refined my ability to create jewelry that resonated with people's hearts and souls.

Over the years, I sold more than 1,368 handmade pieces—a number that might appear modest on paper but holds deep meaning for me as every piece was designed, created, and sold by my own hands.
My daughter also played a part in the early stages, as I once experimented with letting her design small sets for children. However, with time and knowledge, I realized the risks of jewelry for young children and decided to focus exclusively on safe, wearable art for teens and adults.
